Primer para olhos - Eye Primer: Essence I ♥ Stage Eyeshadow base

Essa semana decidi ter um tema: Primer para olhos! 

Juntei todos que tinha e testei durante algumas semanas. Espero que ajude alguém a encontrar um primer que funcione. Só para constar tenho pálpebras "gordinhas" e bem oleosas.

This week will be all about Eye primers!

I got all the ones I have together and I tested them for a couple weeks. I hope it helps some of you find one that works. Just to let you know I have hooded and very oily eyelids.

Hoje começo com o I ♥ stage Eyeshadow Base da Essence. A Essence é uma marca de farmácia bem baratinha que é vendida na Shoppers Drug Mart aqui em Toronto. Acho que paguei uns 5 dólares pelo produto.

Pontos Positivos: 

• Fácil de espalhar.
• Tem um pouco de cor então se você tem as pálpebras mais escuras ele disfarça bem.
• Não tive trabalho ao esfumar as sombras com ele.

Pontos negativos: 

• Não gosto de embalagens assim com o aplicador tipo gloss, prefiro os tubinhos que a gente usa até a última gota.
• As cores das sombras não ficaram vivas sabe?
• A duração em mim foi de 5 horas e não craquelou foi apenas ficando falhada. Talvez em quem tem a pele seca durasse bem mais!

Compraria de novo? Provavelmente não, pois encontrei um que gosto mais, mas pelo preço, achei digno!

I want to start with Essence's I ♥ stage Eyeshadow Base. Essence is a quite affordable drugstore brand that is sold at Shoppers here in Toronto. I think I paid 5 dollars for it.

Pros:

• Easy to blend.
• It has some colour so if you have any discolouration it will help to minimize that.
• Easy to blend eyeshadows with it.

Cons:

• I don't like when the packaging looks like a lipgloss tube, I prefer those ones that come in squeezy tubes so we can use until the last drop.
• I don't think it made the colours more vibrant.
• It lasted 5 hours on me and it didn't crease, just faded slowly. Maybe if you have dry skin it would last longer!

Would I repurchase it? Probably not, I found something that I like better, but for the price I thought it was good.

Color Club - Beyond

Lembram que falei que tinha outros esmaltes holográficos da Color Club? Bom o Beyond é mais um deles. Assim sem luz nenhuma ele é um chumbo escuro. Mas é só bater o sol e arco-íris saem por todos os lados =)

Do you remember that I mentioned other holographic nail polishes from Color Club ? Well Beyond is one of them. Without any light it looks like a dark led. But when the sun hits a thousand of rainbows peek through =)

Fiz a unha na pressa e depois que tirei a foto notei algumas partes falhadas mas aí já era tarde demais né?

Outra coisa que notei é a saúde das minhas cutículas, não tiro elas faz quase 3 anos gente e como elas diminuíram! Realmente tirá-las só fazia aumentar. 

Hoje meus cuidados são hidratá-las e sempre usar luvas quando for fazer serviços domésticos, estou bem feliz com o resultado.

Falando do esmalte em si, ele seca rápido e é fácil de passar dura uns 6 dias descascando só na pontinha! Fantástico!

I did my nails in a hurry and only noticed some patchiness after taking the picture and by then it was too late to fix right?

Another thing I noticed was how nice my cuticles look, I have been taking extra care for almost 3 years and they look so much nicer! Poking them only made them worse.

Now my everyday routine is to moisturise them and always use gloves when doing house work, I'm so happy with the results.

Let's talk about the nail polish shall we? It dries fast and is easy to work with, it lasts around 6 days with minor chipping on the tips! Fantastic!

MAC Extra Dimension - Grand Galaxy

Não vou começar o post dizendo que comprei essa sombra porquê vi alguém usando nem que foi no impulso porquê tenho certeza que vocês vão me matar! Vamos fingir que eu realmente precisava desse roxinho com brilhos lindos que é a Grand Galaxy ok?

I'm not going to start this post by saying that I got this eyeshadow because I saw someone wearing it or that it was an impulse buy because you will kill me! Let's pretend I really needed this purple eyeshadow with a beautiful metallic sheen called Grand Galaxy ok?

As sombras e iluminadores que foram lançados na coleção Extra Dimension da MAC têm um brilho e acabamento fantástico.

A Grand Galaxy versátil porquê você pode usar molhada e os brilhos ficam meio prateados, também dá pra esfumar as bordas com ela seca. 

É o tipo de sombra que você pode usar sozinha!

Ela é bem maior que uma sombra normal (2 g ao invés de 1.5 g) e claro custou mais caro (CAD 24.00). Apesar de ser linda não me vejo usando ela como achei que fosse, acho que estou numa fase super neutra, usando muito tons marrons e beges.

Mas se tem um produto que recomendo são as sombras Extra Dimension da MAC, valem muito a pena meninas!


The eyeshadows and highlighters that were released with MAC's Extra Dimension collection have fantastic sheen and finish.
Grand Galaxy is versatile because you can use it wet and the sheen becomes almost silver, you can also blend with it dry.
It's the kind of eyeshadow that you can wear by itself!


It's larger than a normal eyeshadow (0.07 oz instead of 0.05 oz) and it also cost more (CAD 24.00). Although it's beautiful I don't see myself reaching for her as much as I thought, maybe I'm going through a neutral phase, I've been wearing lots of browns and beiges.

But if there's a product that I recommend it's MAC's Extra Dimension eyeshadows, they are totally worth it ladies!

Revlon ColorStay Pressed Powder - Light Medium

Comprei o pó compacto da Revlon (CAD 18.99/8.4 g/Light Medium) na pressa antes de viajar de férias, notei na minha nécessaire que o único pó que tinha era o Blot da MAC e gosto de ter comigo um pó compacto para passar na hora da preguicinha.

I purchased Revlon's Colorstay (CAD 18.99/0.3 oz/Light Medium) pressed powder in a hurry before I went on my holidays, I noticed that I only had a Blot powder from MAC in my makeup bag and I like to have a pressed powder on  me for those days that I'm feeling a bit lazy.

Adorei tudo a respeito desse pó, duração super boa, acabamento opaco e aveludado, cor perfeita mas (Sim quando o assunto é base sabemos que sempre terá um mas) ele me deu espinhas!

Nada absurdo mas na região do queixo nasceram pequenos vulcões que demoraram para sarar.

Sou brasileira gente e não desisto nunca, um dia acho um pó e uma base que não irritem a minha pele!

Quem tiver indicações eu agradeço!

I loved everything about this powder, it lasts a long time, has a matte velvety finish, the colour is perfect for me but (Oh yes when it comes to foundations and my skin, there's always a but) it broke me out!

Nothing major but on my chin area I had an eruption that took a long time to heal.

I'm not the kind that gives up, so one day I know I'll find a powder and a foundation that won't irritate my skin!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Shadow Pencil - Clinic

Desculpa a sumida meninas, estava doentinha (ainda não estou 100% mas vamos lá!). Hoje quero compartilhar um produtinho que eu queria a muito tempo, o 24/7 Shadow Pencil da Urban Decay nesse verde azulado lindo!

I'm sorry for being MIA ladies, I was sick (I'm still not 100% but let's go). Today I wanna show you guys a product that I had been wanting for a long time, Urban Decay's 24/7 Shadow Pencil in this beautiful teal shade!

A fórmula dessa sombra em lápis é mais sequinha que os delineadores que levam o mesmo nome mas não puxa a pálpebra na hora de aplicar e se você trabalhar rápido dá pra esfumar. É bem pigmentado e tem uns brilhinhos lindos de se ver!

Se eu usar por cima de um primer dura o dia todo sem transferir mas sozinho como delineador ele borra um pouco.

2 pontos negativos: 

Infelizmente me deu alergia, minhas pálpebras incharam e ficaram muito doloridas nas 3 vezes que usei. Isso também acontece com os delineadores da marca =(

Não foi barato paguei por volta de 26 dólares e o lápis não é retrátil, tenho que apontar! 

Apesar disso, recomendo para quem tem pálpebras oleosas e não tem pele sensível. É uma base de sombras fantástica!

The formula of this eyeshadow pencil is a bit drier compared to the eyeliners that carry the same name but it doesn't tug on your eyelid when you apply it and if you work fast you can blend it. It's nicely pigmented and it has gorgeous shimmer particles!

If I apply a primer underneath, it lasts all day without transferring but by itself applied as an eyeliner it smudges a bit.

2 cons:

Unfortunately it irritated my skin, my eyelids got swollen and were very painful on all 3 times I wore it. That also happens with the eyeliners from the brand =(

It wasn't cheap, I paid around 26 dollars and it's not retractable I need to sharpen it! 

Having said that, I recommend it for those with oily eyelids but not for people with sensitive skin. It's a fantastic eyeshadow base!

Color Club Miss Bliss

O esmalte abaixo Miss Bliss faz parte da coleção Halo Hules da marca Color Club que foi lançada agora para a primavera. Nunca tinha experimentado esmaltes da marca e amei esse.

The nail polish below is called Miss Bliss from the Color Club Halo Hues collection and it was launched for spring. I had never tried a Color Club nail polish and I was very pleased with it.

O Miss Bliss, aliás todos esmaltes dessa coleção, é beeeem holográfico, são fáceis de aplicar e duram dignamente nas unhas.

O único problema é a falta de sol, fica quase impossível mostrar o potencial deles =)

Esperei pacientemente um raio de sol nesse final de semana e o que consegui foi capturado acima.

Não é lindo?

Miss Bliss, by the way all nail polishes from this collection, is very holographic, they are easy to apply and have a good lasting power.

My only problem was the lack of sunlight, it's almost impossible to show you guys how gorgeous it is.

I waited patiently for the sun to shine this weekend and what I managed to get was registered in the picture above.

Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer - 640 Medium

Há alguns finais de semana atrás fui num shopping de descontos aqui em Toronto chamado Dixie Mall. Lá tinha uma lojinha de cosméticos com vários itens da Revlon por um precinho tentador. 

Comprei o corretivo abaixo por 3 dólares, o preço normal dele fica entre CD$ 8/9! Adooooro!

A fórmula contém Ácido salicílico (0.5%) que ajuda na cicatrização das espinhas.
Usando ao longo dessas semanas não achei que ele "escondeu" as mesmas nem achei que ele ajudou a cicatrizá-las. Aliás parece que quando quero camuflá-las o corretivo não "pega" e acaba desaparecendo.
Outro ponto importante é que se você tiver a pele ressecada a fórmula evidencia mais ainda.

A couple weekends ago I went to an outlet mall here in Toronto called Dixie Mall. They had a cosmetics store there with a lot of Revlon products at a discounted price.

I purchased the concealer below for 3 dollars, the normal retail price is between CD$ 8/9! Love when that happens!

The formula has Salicylic Acid (0.5%) which helps in the healing process of pimples.
Wearing it during these couple of weeks, I don't think it "hid" them or helped with the healing. When I try to hide them the concealer seems to disappear and not stick to the skin.
Another thing is that if you have any dry patches on your skin this formula makes them stand out even more. 

O cheiro é bem forte, parecido com a base Colorstay em forma líquida.

Por outro lado ele seca rápido e dura horrores!

Não precisei assentar com pó e durante o dia não acumulou nas linhas de expressão. Mas fiquei na dúvida se por ter ácido na fórmula ele é seguro para usar na área dos olhos.

Analisando, queria algo que além de camuflar tratasse, não achei ele fantástico mas não pretendo usar até o fim.

Alguém aí já experimentou? O que acharam dele?

It has a strong scent, very similar to the liquid Colorstay foundation.

On the other hand it dries very quick and lasts a long time!

I didn't have to set it with powder and it didn't crease during the day. But I wasn't sure if it was safe to use under the eye area because of the acid in the  formula.

I wanted something that would hide and treat, didn't think it was great but I intend to use it all up.

Has anyone tried it? What did you think?
